SafeCare Family Services (SFS) at Flagstone Family Shelter Kensington Family Shelter offers an evidence-based, in-home parenting skills curriculum designed for Brooklyn-based parents at risk of or with a history of child maltreatment, particularly those living at the shelter. The program focuses on three modules : Parent-Child / Parent-Infant Interactions to address neglect and physical abuse, the Health Module for medical neglect risks, and the Home Safety Module to prevent environmental neglect and unintentional injury. SFS primarily conducts home visits, utilizing a structured problem-solving approach for clients with at least one child aged 0-5, who can benefit from enhanced parenting skills, have an open or historical neglect case, lack resources or social support, are in the Independent Living Program, are undergoing substance abuse treatment or mental health care, or have shown a lack of supervision and safety.

Compensation
$58,000 annually
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate.This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and / or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
Status : Full-time (35 hours per week)
