Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is a new state of the art facility that opened for patient care in November 2019.  We are looking for Registered Nurses that can become part of a learning and growing team..

Position Highlights

730-1600 Monday - Friday

The Endoscopy Department  at BJHWC consists of pre op,  procedure and recovery areas. RNs will assist in preparing patients for their procedures. The E ndoscopy RN works in the procedure room along side the proceduralist assisting and / or circulating in the room for documentation and specimen collection during colonoscopies and upper endoscopies.   They are validated and competent to assist, circulate, bedside clean the endoscope and work in the scope room.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

The Endoscopy department at Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is a highly specialized, full-service department meeting the needs of inpatient and outpatient clients. The lab specializes in Upper Endoscopy (EGD), Esophagoscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible sigmoidoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Small bowel enteroscopy (SBE), and Video capsule endoscopy. The endoscopy staff consists of a NP, RN¿s and technicians who are overseen by an Endoscopy Supervisor.
