We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Search Discovery Experience team, which owns how users start their search journey across surfaces and input types (search bar, autocomplete, search landing page, multimodal input such as text, image, and voice) and how we understand and disambiguate intent. This is a high-visibility role focused on building the next generation of search experiences powered by AI and designed to feel conversational and intuitive.

  • Define and deliver a roadmap for multimodal, context-aware, and assistive search input
  • Build scalable, performant systems for autocomplete, query understanding, and multi-modal search entries
  • Collaborate with PM, Design, ML, and infra teams to create seamless search experiences across surfaces
  • Drive product and infrastructure development with a strong bias toward iteration and speed
  • Hire, grow, and mentor engineers across levels while building a healthy, high-performing team

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of engineering management experience and 6+ years of experience building consumer products
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across frontend and backend
  • Strong technical background in at least one area : mobile, web, or backend
  • Experience with search systems, autocomplete, or intent understanding is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to partner closely with PM / design on product development
  • Passion for building fast, assistive, and AI-powered user experiences
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with high ambiguity and high upside
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Relocation Statement

  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Visit our PinFlex page to learn more about our working model.
  • In-Office Requirement
