A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances and applying for assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
Screen patients for eligibility for state and federal assistance programs
Assist patients with applications for appropriate assistance programs and provide necessary guidance
Maintain accurate documentation of patient accounts and follow up on applications until resolved
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
Experience with medical coding or billing is preferred
Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
