Service Advisor – Automotive

Location : Big Spring, TX

Key Responsibilities

Greet service department customers promptly and courteously – attitude is everything

Listen to customer concerns and accurately communicate repair needs to service technicians

Provide repair and maintenance recommendations with integrity, including upselling additional services when appropriate

Deliver clear and accurate repair / maintenance estimates

Ensure proper care and operation of customer vehicles at all times

Follow up on each repair order and keep customers informed of progress

Sell and manage extended warranty options

Inspect completed repairs and confirm quality standards are met

Notify customers promptly when vehicles are ready for pick-up

Review and explain all repairs, service recommendations, and associated costs with customers

Handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner

Keep the Service Manager informed of any issues or potential problems

Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores in line with dealership goals

Qualifications

Previous service advisor or customer service experience in the automotive industry preferred

Strong communication and people skills with a customer-first mindset

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repairs is a plus

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with dealership software systems (training available)
