  • Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient QA & Test Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing financial applications, particularly mortgage origination, servicing, or underwriting platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of our mortgage software solutions through rigorous testing and validation.

  • Requirements :
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in the mortgage or financial services domain
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lifecycle processes (origination, underwriting, closing, servicing)
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools and scripting languages
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in mortgage lending
  • Strong grasp of logic and pseudocode
  • Analytical stills bridging legal research and rule-based logic
  • Skilled in independent test case design and execution
  • Thorough bug reporting and documentation
  • Strong work ethics, a passion for excellence and a desire to continuously learn
  • Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and a high level of organization to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Polite and professional attitude
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • Duties :
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for LOS, compliance and related software applications
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools
  • Validate compliance with mortgage industry standards and regulations (e.g., RESPA, TRID, HMDA)
  • Participate in Agile process and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes
  • Conduct data validation and backend testing using SQL or other database tools
  • Assist in automation testing efforts
  • Schedule :
  • Onsite at our McLean office Monday – Thursday, Remote on Fridays
