Job Description

NOTE : Remote + Travel up to 85%

Scope of Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Field Engineer (FE) on large projects or system upgrades, capable of directing self and other assigned project STs and able to mentor less experienced FEs.
• Post?sale implementation of voice and data communications systems.
• Performs specific system configuration, programming, optimization, testing, and documentation tasks.
• Works with other FEs, Tech Support, Product Groups, and / or others to characterize system defects during system implementation and, on occasion, during the maintenance phase.
• Team with engineering, project management and sales personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Responsibilities include the optimization, support, maintenance, testing and documentation of complex communications systems.
• Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications, including advanced troubleshooting of software?driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including, but not limited to, legacy analog, advanced digital P25, and data infrastructure.
• Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with a focus on trend analysis and documentation of results.
• Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

Target Base Salary Range : $70,000 - $80,000USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job?related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
