Job descriptionWeekend call : Same as nightly, as scheduled H&Ps performed by other physicians Occasional consults on Med / Surg or ED floors (infrequent) 100% geriatric / senior behavioral health (ages 55+) 12-bed inpatient unit Average daily census : 8 12 patients Average patients seen daily : 8 12 Social workers and nurses onsite Locum will be the sole psychiatrist for the unit EMR : Meditech (training provided) Dictation services available Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry not required Active NY license preferred (emergency privileges possible) Immediate start possible with emergency privileges

Location : Saranac Lake, NY
Start Date : ASAP (emergency privileges available for rapid start)
Duration : Ongoing
Assignment Type : Inpatient geriatric psychiatry
Schedule :
- Onsite rounding : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch) flexible; typically
Nightly call : 5 : 00 PM 8 : 00 AM
