Overview

Engineered Solutions Specialist - Geo & Stormwater (Ohio) is a remote position with travel within the designated region. The incumbent will reside in Ohio to best perform the outlined duties. This role may cover multiple states.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall efforts to analyze and enhance Fergusons position in the marketplace to influence agencies, owners, and specifiers of civil sitework solutions and gain / grow acceptance of Fergusons technologies and products.
  • Increase industry awareness of Ferguson Geo / Stormwater products through attendance and participation in tradeshows, conferences, meetings, and presentations.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations throughout the assigned geography.
  • Research and understand local green infrastructure codes to build a targeted sales strategy for municipalities and developers.
  • Visit end users, engineering firms, and contractors to support project opportunities and expand awareness of Ferguson products within the industry.
  • Coordinate and manage projects through the specification process with the Regional Design Engineer / Technical Designer.
  • Support the national growth initiatives of the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management team.
  • Work with the outside sales team to assist contractors and municipalities with installation and maintenance practices of green infrastructure technologies, including pre-bid, pre-construction, and post-construction meetings.
  • Co-manage sales revenues in conjunction with the Geo Storm Associate (GSA) within the same geography, and in coordination with the ESS Manager, Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, and key vendor partner teams.
  • Provide timely feedback on activities related to pending projects and sales, including tracking the pipeline of generated projects.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must live in Ohio.
  • Civil Engineering degree or Engineering license preferred.
  • 3+ years experience with innovative products in Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management space preferred.
  • Prior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and submittals, required.
  • Competent and engaging public speaker.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft applications and multiple software systems required.
  • Basic reporting experience using Excel (sorting, filtering, data compilation) required.
  • Prior Salesforce CRM experience is a bonus but not required.
  • Demonstrated relationship building, customer service, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and capable of multitasking; ability to balance multiple urgent requests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate in technical and user-friendly language.

    • Benefits and Compensation

    Pay Range : $4,799.70 $10,450.00 per month for salaried roles (or hourly for all other roles). This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local wage requirements.
