Business Development Manager
Act as SME in chemistry; uncover, develop, and grow contract research and discovery chemistry projects and project business opportunities with prospective and existing clients in small molecule new drug development by communicating with clients' senior scientists, chemists, and subject matter experts; Analyze the company's research chemistry services including chemical synthesis and characterization, process chemistry, compound synthesis, purification, and drug manufacturing to project the strength and image of Research Chemistry Services, applying scientific and analytical background, including Dissolution Apparatus, Malvern Mastersizer, HPLC / NMR, Cryo-SEM, and GPC / SEC; Review and monitor drug discovery project performance through CRM system; Analyze, develop, and realize business growth opportunities with pharmaceutical companies in the west coast by working closely with our Research Chemistry Services Department and applying scientific and technical knowledge of the biotech / pharmaceutical industry, including HPLC / NMR, Analytical method development, Cryo-SEM, GPC / SEC; Identify key decision makers relative to discovery services business and interact with leading pharmaceutical scientists at prospective customers' organizations to achieve assigned sales and profit goals; Represent the company at professional scientific meetings and conferences, keep abreast of new trends and discoveries in biotech / pharmaceutical industries, and provide technical feedback to internal teams. Require a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering plus 1 year experience in CRO. Require skills and knowledge in HPLC / NMR, Analytical method development, Cryo-SEM, GPC / SEC, Dissolution apparatus, Malvern Mastersizer, CRM. Allow telecommuting. Standard benefits with $120k~$125 / year.
