We are seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina , near Shannon. This is a short-term assignment with excellent support, offering a chance to work in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Assignment Details :

• Dates : December 16, 2024, to December 18, 2024
• Coverage Type : Call only (backup call, second line)
• Shifts : Call coverage ends at 7 : 00 AM on December 18, 2024
• Practice Setting : Inpatient; no outpatient duties required
• Rounding : Assigned patients
• Patient Care : Includes admissions; temporary privileges are available

Practice Requirements :

Board Certification : Required in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Certifications Needed :

ACLS

BLS

PALS

Licensing : Active North Carolina medical license required

Facility Details :

Average deliveries per year : 350

Inpatient department includes six beds

Trauma Level : 0 Pediatric Level : 2

Specialty Skills Required :

Obstetrics :

Routine deliveries, vaginal deliveries, low-forceps, and decision-making for C-sections

Management of both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies

Fetal heart rate interpretation, OB ultrasounds, and VBACs

Complicated deliveries including breech, multiple births, and abruptions

Gynecology :

Surgical procedures including laparoscopic diagnostics, tubal ligations, and ovary removal

Office procedures such as IUD placements, colposcopies, and cryosurgery

Support Staff :

RN : 2

Midwife : Takes first call

PA / NP : 1

Additional Details :

Call Response Time : 25 minutes

Facility uses Cerner EMR system

Credentialing process : Quick turnaround (approximately 2 days)
