Neil Huffman Volkswagen is currently hiring automotive service technicians with strong diagnostic talent to join our growing service department. This position involves full automotive troubleshooting, testing, routine inspections and repairs. Must have own tools. The role is to be filled immediately. Applicant must have proper credentials showing certification of Master Technician with manufacturer. Pay and sign on bonus based on experience / certifications.

Overview

The technician will perform work as outlined on repair orders with minimal supervision, maintain a safe working environment, and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with minimal supervision.
• Establish a positive relationship with customers to support a high Customer Service Index.
• Stay informed of changes and innovations to service techniques, and review manufacturer technical bulletins and help lines.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes as mandated by management.
• Advise service advisor if additional work is needed or if specific work is not necessary.
• Supervise the work of less-skilled technicians as needed.
• Keep vehicles clean while working on them and maintain clean work areas and uniforms.
• Arrive before designated starting time and maintain a safe working environment per OSHA / EPA standards.
• Keep personal tools updated and communicate any tool needs to the service manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
