Job description

We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician for a 240-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Sep 1, 2025, and involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. The role also requires availability for weekend on-call duties via phone on a 1 : 3 rotational basis. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in medical oncology with a strong background in hematology.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care in hematology and oncology
  • Manage outpatient clinical duties and participate in on-call rotations
  • Ensure the highest standards of care in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tailor individualized treatment plans
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system to document patient interactions and treatment outcomes
  • Engage in continuous education and research activities to stay abreast of advancements in the field

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology
  • Valid California medical license required
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
