Job description

Claims Management Program Subject Matter Expert

Serve as a subject matter expert in development and implementation of a pro-active and cost efficient claims and litigation management program for the organization.

  • Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost.
  • Direct and coordinate various programs essential to claims management procedures.
  • Implement procedures to ensure that claims and litigation are being managed in accordance with established standards and within projected actuarial estimates.
  • Resolve complaints, problems, and coverage questions or escalate to the next level as needed.
  • Report to insurers / reinsurers all Basket 1 events and track progress.
  • Evaluate and update claims metrics and work with claims analysts on compliance and improvements.
  • Ensure requirements are being adhered to by their team members.

Education :

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree / Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
