Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health

Locations : Brenham and Desoto, TX

Type : Direct Hire

Salary : $35 $45 / hr

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Brenham and Desoto, TX . This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential therapy services in the comfort of patients' homes, contributing positively to their overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Implementing physical therapy programs as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients achieve their mobility and functional goals.
  • Conducting home visits to provide therapeutic treatments and exercises to improve patients' physical function and independence.
  • Monitoring patient progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed, in consultation with a supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educating patients and their families on exercises and activities that can aid in recovery and improve quality of life.
  • Documenting patient care activities and progress accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications :

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current PTA license in the state of Texas.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in home health as a physical therapist.
  • Previous experience in a home health setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing situations in a home care environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.
  • Working Conditions :

  • This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule to accommodate patient needs.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting, transferring, and providing manual therapy to patients.
