Position Title : Senior GIS Software Engineer

Location : New York, NY (100% Remote)

Position Status : Contract - 12+ Months

Pay Rate : $60-$69.50 per hour (based on experience)

Position Description :

We're seeking a Senior GIS Software Engineer to join a leading Fortune 500 Utilities organization. In this role, you will provide advanced development, administration, and Tier 3 technical support for an ArcGIS and ArcFM-based Enterprise GIS system . You'll play a key role in ensuring high performance, stability, and scalability of GIS platforms supporting critical business operations.

This position offers a fully remote work environment with opportunities to collaborate across multiple technical teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and implement GIS applications and system enhancements using Python, AngularJS, ArcGIS JavaScript API, and ASP.NET (C#) .
• Administer and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and Server) environments, including service publishing and user role management.
• Support and troubleshoot Landbase applications and GIS integrations to ensure seamless operation.
• Monitor system performance, conduct root-cause analysis, and optimize server and application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as server support, security, and database administration.
• Provide consistent communication and progress updates to stakeholders and SMEs.
• Participate in rotational on-call support (between 9 AM-9 PM EST and occasional weekends).
