Overview : At Fast Pace Urgent Care, Radiologic Technologists play a vital role in providing both clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. Responsibilities :

  • Provide clinical and administrative support by fulfilling responsibilities detailed in the Nurse / Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist job description.
  • Monitor and track x-ray orders to ensure timely completion and submission.
  • Assist patients in proper positioning during exams to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Comply with department expectations and adhere to federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Review exam images and send final images to the Radiology group for over-read.
  • Ensure proper labeling and removal of artifacts in x-ray images.
  • Address minor machine maintenance issues and consult with the nurse coordinator for outsourcing if necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the x-ray room's equipment and cassettes after each use.
  • Monitor radiation exposure badges and report as required.
  • Encourage new employees on their first day by facilitating introductions and clinic tours.
  • Assist with training new employees through job shadowing and coaching opportunities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all employees and clients, promoting a friendly work atmosphere.

Experience and Education Requirements :

  • Current License or Certification : ARRT License (Registered Technologist), State License (Registered Technologist and Limited Scope). Licenses must be active and in good standing.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a current CPR license.
  • Experience as a certified RT(R) or limited scope x-ray tech is preferred, especially in an urgent care setting.
