Electrical and Computer Engineering, Assistant Professor

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for a position in Electrical Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2026.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the potential to establish a research program that involves both undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include both introductory and advanced courses, as well as assisting in curriculum development.

Minimum requirements include

• The applicant must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university by the date of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff and faculty from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
• Demonstrated commitment to the IEEE code of ethics.
