Cardiothoracic Surgery ACNP / PA - Bangor, Maine

Join northern / central Maines center for cardiothoracic surgery! Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking an acute care nurse practitioner or physician associate to join our well-respected, dynamic program in the city of Bangor, Maine .

Details & Responsibilities :

• Candidates must have at least two years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or in the cardiovascular ICU
• 4-day workweek makes for a great work / life balance
• Collaboration with structural heart, critical care, and thoracic oncology
• Daily rounds in the CVICU and stepdown units
• Manage critically ill post op cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including hemodynamic interpretation and medication management within the CVICU
• Develop and implement patient management plans independently and in collaboration with surgeons
• Assist surgeons in the O.R. and perform minor procedures at bedside
• Facilitate length of stay, discharge planning, and compliance with regulatory standards for inpatient management
