Job descriptionProvide primary care services to pediatric patients in a community health setting Deliver care to a diverse patient base, with approximately 75% Spanish-speaking patients (interpreters and bilingual MAs available) Manage a high percentage of Medical / Medicaid patients Collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Utilize active California DEA and furnishing license for prescribing needs Adhere to organizational protocols and documentation standards Locum experience required Experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS preferred Recent experience in a pediatric setting is mandatory Must possess current California licensure, DEA, and furnishing license Board certifications required : Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (PPCNP-BC) Assignment dates may be dependent on approved time off and Regional Medical Director approval Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 8, 2025. This opportunity offers a Monday-Friday schedule with 8am-5pm shifts, serving a patient population that is predominantly pediatric and Spanish-speaking, supported by translators and bilingual medical assistants.
