Production Tooling Manager
Prent Corporation has been the world leader in custom thermoformed packaging serving the Medical, Electronic and Consumer industries for the past 55+ years. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage all aspects of production tooling, including peripheral equipment, both in storage and during transitions to and from the production floor. This role is responsible for inspecting and preparing tooling in advance of production runs to ensure functionality and readiness, constructing wear and make-ready plates, and coordinating tooling repairs. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records of tool usage, inventory, and repair history to support traceability and efficient inventory management. Responsibilities also include reviewing production schedules, preparing tooling with at least one weeks lead time, and minimizing machine setup times through proactive preparation. Daily collaboration with the Production Control Office and clear communication with support teams and production staff are essential, especially for tooling revisions, repairs, or scheduling concerns. All tasks must be performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Your hours : 1st shift : 5 : 30am 4 : 00pm, Monday Thursday, Fridays as needed.
What you need : High school diploma or equivalent. Good mechanical aptitude. Good communication skills. Basic math skills. Able to read basic blueprints.
