Description : TITLE : Bus Driver

DEPARTMENT : Individual Club

REPORTS : Club Director

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

Primary Function : Under the direct supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Bus Driver is responsible for the operation of vans and small and large buses, in transporting children from school to the Clubs, and driving on designated field trips.

Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities) :

• Transporting students from schools to designated clubs.
• Transporting students on designated field trips.
• Follow a pre-planned route according to a definite time schedule.
• Drive the bus carefully and in compliance with traffic regulations and bus operating procedures.
• Assume responsibility for the safety of children in loading, unloading, and transporting them from school to club.
• Instruct children on safety precautions and practices.
• Maintains proper paperwork for attendance of children.
• Maintains discipline; reports of unruly behavior to Club Director.
• Inspects and sweeps bus on a daily basis.
• Reports delays and accidents.
• Reports defects or problems with vehicles to the Transportation Manager and maintenance.
• Assures bus meets regular maintenance schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.

Supervision :

Does not supervise any employees.

Key Result Area :

Consistently on time with student pickups.

Maintains a safe driving record.

Requirements : Job Specifications :

Working Conditions : Must be able to handle stress while dealing with passengers and traffic. Must be able to handle the responsibility for the safety of passengers.
