Hourly Pay Range : $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Overview :
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant for our Medical Group Gynecology and Gynecological Pain & Minimally Invasive Surgery located at Skokie ACC in Skokie, IL. This is a full-time position (40 hrs / wk) and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled / rotated Monday through Thursday between 7 : 30 am and 5 : 30 pm, Friday 6 : 30 am 3 : 30 pm and 1 Saturday a month. This position will travel to our Chicago Lakeview office or other locations for vacation, vacancies and / or medical leave coverage. This position will also be trained to cross cover Urogynecology.
What you will do :
Greet patients and escort them to exam roomDocument vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visitProvide front office support as neededPerform basic vitals like BP, height and weightPhlebotomy and injections may be requiredProvide clinical care under the direction of the office Physicians and Practice ManagerDocument vital signs, allergies, medications, reason for office visit and take medical historiesPrepare patients for examinations and procedures like Colposcopy, LEEPS, HysteroscopyCollect / prepare specimensSterilize and High Level Disinfection instruments and scopesPhone triage, test results, prior authorizations and in-basket managementBack-up coverage for Patient Support AssociatesPerform other functions as delegatedWhat you will need :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not requiredCertification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.Experience : One year of work experience required, 1 2 years Women's Health MA experience a plusOn the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.Unique or Preferred Skills : N / ABenefits (For full time or part time positions) :
