Maintenance Technician III (2nd Shift)

Crafco, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing plant in DeKalb, IL.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the machinery and equipment in our manufacturing facility. They will perform necessary repairs and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely and is kept in overall good working order. Key responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing mechanical issues, updating equipment records, organizing tools and work areas, following safety protocols, and collaborating with production teams and / or subject matter experts to minimize equipment downtime and optimize efficiency and dependability.  We are hiring for 2nd shift, hours are approximately 3 : 00pm - 11 : 30pm with overtime available.

Specific duties :

• Maintain logs identifying all repairs, inspections and the results of these repairs and inspections through MaintainX.
• Conduct plant preventive maintenance program in accordance with requirements of the program.
• Perform assigned duties in a safe, professional manner following all established policies and procedures.
• Inspect and monitor all equipment, machines, tools, and building for proper operation and mechanical condition.
• Utilize HMI (Human Machine Interface) system during daily monitoring and inspection of equipment.
• Assist in installation of new projects or upgrading projects.
• Maintain work area in a clean orderly fashion and equipment in good physical and mechanical condition
• Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of required paperwork
• Be familiar with and abide by all the items set forth in the Crafco Employee Handbook and Ergon Policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
