Experience with intravenous drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Lasix, Bumex, and Insulin

Description :

This position is for a Telemetry Registered Nurse.

The unit comprises 24 beds and has a staff of 52.

On day shifts, the staffing includes 1 Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RN Floor Nurses, and 2-3 Nurse Technicians, with sitters as needed.

Night shifts consist of 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RN / LVN Floor Nurses, and 2-3 Nurse Technicians, with sitters as necessary.

The patient-to-nurse ratio typically ranges from 4 : 1 to 5 : 1.

The unit is equipped with GE bedside monitors, Welch Dinamaps, Alaris pumps, and Kangaroo pumps.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Candidates should possess IMCU experience and critical thinking skills.

Relevant experience with cardiac monitoring and various intravenous drips is essential.

Preferred candidates will have experience in cardiovascular care.

Typical procedures performed in the unit include TAVR, Watchman, heart catheterizations, PCI, CABG, pacemaker insertions, ablations, and cardioversion.

The ideal candidate will be respectful, a team player, outgoing, and possess a positive attitude.

They should care for patients and their families like family, show eagerness and willingness to learn, and be good communicators.

Flexibility in scheduling is required, including rotating weekends.

Dress code includes royal blue scrubs.

Candidates may need to float to Med-Surg / IMCU areas as needed.
