About The Position
Job Title : Clinical Nurse I, II, III, IV

License : Current RN license in New Mexico or current Compact state license
Certifications : BLS & ACLS Certification required from AHA. NRP Certification required.
Must-Have : Required certifications must be maintained with no grace period for renewal.
Description :
The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units.
He / she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the standards of care.
He / she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization.
The role requires the nurse to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.
The nurse treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.
Candidates must have current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age / type of patient population served.
The nurse must be knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care.
Effective communication in a clear and concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of the patient is essential.
The position requires working in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment.
Candidates should be prepared for exposure to infectious diseases and stressful professional relationships.
Working hours are varied, with flexibility required due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
Physical requirements include handling emergency / crisis situations, considerable standing and walking, and the ability to position, push, and / or transfer patients or equipment.
Candidates should have the ability to judge distance and space relationships, see peripherally, and distinguish and identify different colors.
Normal or correctable hearing and visual acuity are required, along with manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
