Material Handler

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team, working Monday through Thursday from 6pm to 6am, with the potential for Friday overtime. This role requires forklift and computer experience, with forklift operation making up approximately 50% of your day.

Responsibilities :

• Deliver materials promptly and in accordance with the production schedule to the production areas.
• Properly identify all materials returned to inventory.
• Remove all finished goods promptly from the production areas to shipping or the finished goods warehouse.
• Move finished goods from the warehouse for packaging or shipping.
• Perform inventory transactions using JENISYS.
• Participate in physical inventory functions.
• Suggest changes to improve quality, efficiency, safety, or communication.
• Follow all safety practices and immediately correct or report unsafe conditions. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.

Work Environment :

The work is conducted in a manufacturing facility specializing in coatings and adhesives, including products like non-slip walkways, skateboard friction tape, and emergency exit signs. The Lake Bluff location is the primary production site, and the environment includes the operation of large machinery, roughly the size of a semi-truck trailer. The facility has a strong chemical smell due to the use of chemicals in the manufacturing process.

Job Type & Location :

This is a contract to hire position based out of Lake Bluff, IL.

Pay & Benefits :
