About The Position

ID : 73920343 Shift : 12H Days Primarily weekend coverage 7am-7pm Fri, Sat, Sun Description : Unit : Confirm the candidate has looked into housing in the area with the submittal. Leads available.Department : Xray / CT Tech- General Certification Requirements : BLS / WI license- Certs / ARRT & other specialty certification requirements : ARRT X-ray / CT preference.- How many scanners / rooms does this department have? : 1 main CT scanner, 1 backup CT scanner, 2 general x-ray rooms, 4 C-arms in OR.- Will they have to float / cover any other areas? : We do provide C-arm coverage in the ORs. Not uncommon.- Common types of imaging / studies performed & Job Duties : General x-ray, CT service nothing unusual really.- Experience : Must be independent in x-ray and CT and be comfortable with Siemens equipment. Must be able to work independently. 1 year of experience. Prefer previous travel.- Average # of scans / studies per day : Varies could be 5 one day and 40 the next day. 25000-26000 exams per year, 7000 if these are CT.- EMR & / or PACS used : PACS : Phillips, EMR : EPIC.- Department Specific Equipment : Mostly all Siemens. GE C-arms.- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech : Director of Department- Lead in CT, no Lead in XR.- Do they use RRA's : No- Radiologist in-house? : Mostly yes, M-F 800-430p, however we do have some virtual weeks.- Do they have to start IV's? : Yes- Shifts & Scheduling : Schedule comes from Director in 6 week blocks. Very transparent with our scheduling needs before a traveler signs up. Variable- 8 (staggered start 0630,7 or 9),12 (1030 start) or 16 (0700- 2300) hour shifts based on needs. Could be Fri / Sat / Sun (1- 8 hour and 2-16hr Sat and Sun- this will be noted in the ask).- Weekend Requirements : Yes, expected to work weekends, ask to be flexible in which weekends.- Holiday Requirements : Yes, expected to fill in when needed. - Call or Standby requirement? : No call.- Scrub Color / Dress Code : No color, not provided.- Department specific orientation : We take the 1st week to train traveler. Time with Director, CT staff and X-ray staff.
