Our client for the Business Unit Manager Industrial / HVAC - North America opportunity is a leading global manufacturer and supplier for automotive, commercial vehicles, heavy duty and off highway, marine, HVAC, and industrial. The Business Unit Manager Industrial / HVAC - North America will report directly to the Segment General Manager based in the European HQ and dotted line report to the North America President. The Business Unit Manager will serve as a "General Manager" over the segment in North America working in a cross functional global team owning the strategy and execution for the North America market. This person will focus on the Industrial HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) sector working with OEM customers and End Users in a customer-facing capacity to understand market trends and customer needs translating that information into commercial strategies and technology roadmap strategies. This role is a unique combination of sales and commercial, strategy, product management, and general management owning a category / segment. This person will have 2-5 direct reports and work with a cross functional team of 50-100 globally and will be tasked to grow the NA team eventually expanding this role into a Vice President position.

Job Description

Map the industry and product marketing landscape to gain insights into key decision-making processes, competition, and emerging trends.

Define a compelling value proposition, addressing unmet customer needs.

Collaborate with customers to develop a joint technology roadmap and strategize with the commercial and product development teams.

Lead activities from initial customer engagement through to bid submission and business acquisition.

Ensure technical proposals align with customer programs and are consistent with the engineering guidelines.

Coordinate system simulations and verify that customer performance targets are met with support from the performance and systems teams.

Gather all necessary requirements and conduct a gap analysis compared to the standard product offering.

Lead customer technical presentations, ensuring value proposition is clearly communicated and aligned with customer expectations.

Support the annual operating plan (AOP) and strategic planning process (STRAP) by working closely with Sales Directors and other stakeholders globally.
