Qualifications

• 25+ years of electric utility experience
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university is preferred
• Skilled in engineering / technical theories and principles
• Skilled in basic practices of researching technical design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
• Skilled in principles of project management
• Capable of applying an advanced understanding of system reliability and capacity strategies to meet customer service needs
• Demonstrate comprehensive ability to plan, organize, and complete complex planning projects on schedule
• Ability to address challenging planning requests and projects using originality and ingenuity
• Ability to effectively handle concurrent multiple complex planning projects
• Capable of working independently as a member of a team, or as a project team lead
• Comprehensive ability to work with engineering personnel, customers, contractors, financial, regulatory, and major accounts groups
• Provides technical expertise to management for strategic operations and infrastructure investment decisions
• Ability to make significant recommendations for procedural or operational changes

Responsibilities

Review detailed electrical designs and specifications based on project requirements and engineering prints.

Conduct thorough constructability reviews of electrical, mechanical, and civil designs to identify potential challenges and solutions.

Document findings and prepare comprehensive reports outlining constructability concerns and recommended solutions.

Facilitate communication between design, construction, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project expectations.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services.

Ensure all electrical work meets quality standards and project specifications.
