We eliminate barriers to participation by providing access to the resources New Yorkers need to vote or run for office and amplify the voices of small donors with New York City’s small donor democracy program.

About The Department
The Marketing and Digital Communications unit leads the top-level marketing and communications strategy for the CFB and creates the strategy for all public-facing materials that directly engage and serve the needs of five million New Yorkers in thirteen languages through the agency’s voter engagement initiative, NYC Votes.
Job Description
The NYC Campaign Finance Board (CFB) is seeking a Content Writer to develop, refine, and elevate the voice of NYC Votes across digital platforms. As part of the Marketing & Digital Communications Unit, you will lead the creation of compelling, plain-language content that resonates with the city’s diverse communities.
You will collaborate with designers, digital strategists, and subject matter experts to produce materials that inform, engage, and inspire New Yorkers to participate in their democracy. This role is ideal for a strategic communicator who can translate complex civic information into engaging content while maintaining accessibility, accuracy, and nonpartisanship.
