Status : Full-time, Non-Exempt | Pay Grade 6

Reports To : Felicity / New Richmond Branch Manager (Supervisor II)

About the Role

Clermont County Public Library is seeking a collaborative and service-oriented Branch Supervisor - to help lead Branch operations, working closely with the manager to support consistent, high-quality service across both the Felicity and New Richmond locations. This supervisory position plays a key role in community engagement, staff development, and the delivery of impactful library services and programs for youth.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the manager to coordinate effective branch operations, ensuring smooth workflows, scheduling, and service excellence.
• Under direction of the manager, lead, inspire, and develop dedicated teams through effective hiring, supervision, coaching, and training.
• Work with manager to drive community engagement by developing impactful programs, forging strategic partnerships, and representing the Library at local events and meetings.
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional, guest-focused services that foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Champion a positive workplace culture through clear communication, collaboration, and upholding the manager's expectations.
• Plan, conduct and evaluate programming for youth audiences, ensuring alignment with community needs and Library goals.
• Interpret and communicate Library policies and procedures to staff and guests, promoting understanding and ensuring consistent adherence.
• Support collection management, including weeding, processing donations, and collaborating with the Collection Services department on acquisitions.
• Mentor staff, identify development opportunities, and support professional growth.
• Ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.
• Participate actively in system-wide initiatives, committees, and planning to advance Library services, supporting strategic goals and cross-branch collaboration.
• Monitor statistics and programming budgets; maintain accurate records including payroll, leave requests, and reimbursements with accuracy and timeliness in conjunction with the manager.
• Contribute to Library policy and procedure updates, strategic planning, and service enhancements.
