Arizonas first and only autism-focused charter school is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).The SLPAs primary focus is to work directly with a Speech Language Pathologist to administer school-based speech-language treatment plans as written in each childs IEP. Additionally, the SLPA will help integrate therapies in the classroom and provide support to the speech-language pathologist in the new state-of-the-art autism center.

Under the supervision and direction of the Speech Language Pathologist; the SLPA will be responsible for :

• Implement student communication strategies
• Move students toward progress on IEP goals
• Engage in data-driven instruction and therapy
• Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies

Positions in this class require : stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Light Work :

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions :

Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment working with students who may need behavioral supports.
