HIRING A SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - HEALTHCARE IN DALLAS
DBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team in Dallas. This is a senior-level technical leadership role focused on the electrical design and delivery of complex, small to large size healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas with extensive healthcare experience and multi-state registration eligibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 15 years of overall electrical engineering experience, with min 6-8 years specifically dedicated to healthcare facility design (e.g., hospitals, ambulatory centers).
- Must be a currently licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and eligible for, or possess, multi-state registrations.
- Manage the complete electrical design production process, ensuring projects adhere to scope, budget, and scheduling requirements.
- Lead and effectively coordinate with both internal teams and external design consultant contractors.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for owners, clients, and other consultants, demonstrating excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions.
- Deep expertise in designing essential electrical systems, critical power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems specific to healthcare environments (e.g., knowledge of NFPA 99, TDSHS and FGI Guidelines).
- Actively involved in both the design and construction administration (CA) phases of projects.
- CA duties include attending meetings, reviewing submittals, and providing timely and accurate responses to RFIs.
- Demonstrate strong leadership in quality control and adherence to applicable building codes and standards.
- Proven track record of managing project deliverables and client expectations from conceptual design through project closeout.
- Perform additional assignments as requested / needed.
