We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of infant and toddler-aged children. The Infant Teacher will be responsible for implementing educational activities, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring the overall well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of infants and young toddlers.
- Create lesson plans that are individualized for each child, at their skill level.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support for children with special educational needs through early intervention techniques.
- Foster communication skills by encouraging verbal expression and active participation in group activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes child welfare and encourages exploration.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns related to their development.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing as necessary to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
Strong experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and behavior management strategies.Experience with special education practices and early intervention methods is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.Familiarity with the High Scope methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs within the classroom.
