Hours of work : Average number of hours per week 25-29. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Work schedule varies weekly / seasonally.

Examples Of Duties

Custodial work such as cleaning building interiors; sweeps, mops, disinfects floors, scrubs bathroom fixtures, and empties trash.

Show rental facilities to perspective renters and discuss guidelines for rentals.

Maintains grounds; picks up trash, sweeps and shovels sidewalks, empties garbage.

Sets up tables and chairs for meetings.

Properly handles and mixes cleaning solutions.

Opens, closes and secures buildings as scheduled.

Completes minor building repair projects; reports major repair needs.

Communicates through e-mail and checks online calendars.

Qualifications

On the job training will be provided. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain throughout duration of employment. Must pass a background check as prescribed by the City of Davenport.

Knowledge And Skills

Working knowledge of : cleaning methods and procedures. The use and care of cleaning materials and equipment. Basic painting, plumbing and other skills and methods as applied to building maintenance and repair. Time management and ability to work independently to accomplish tasks. Working skill in : understanding oral and written instructions. Performing routine custodial duties. Inventory control and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment. Performing moderately heavy manual tasks.
