LECOM at Village Square, a part of the LECOM Institute for Successful Living, is accepting resumes for a Full Time Diet Clerk.
As a Diet Clerk in our skilled nursing facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the dietary needs and preferences of our residents are met. You will work closely with the dietary team, healthcare professionals, and residents to provide exceptional dining experiences and support their overall well-being.
Responsibilities :
Meal Planning and Coordination :
- Collaborate with the registered dietitian and dietary staff to develop and implement meal plans tailored to each resident’s dietary requirements and preferences.
- Ensure that special dietary needs, such as diabetic diets, low-sodium diets, and texture-modified diets, are accurately documented and followed.
Menu Management :
Assist in the creation and maintenance of menus that meet nutritional standards and regulatory requirements.Update menus regularly to provide variety and accommodate seasonal changes.Food Service Support :
Coordinate meal service by accurately recording resident meal selections and preferences.Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and adherence to special requests.Documentation and Record-keeping :
Maintain accurate records of resident dietary information, including allergies, food intolerances, and dietary restrictions.Document food and fluid intake as directed by healthcare professionals.Customer Service :
Provide exceptional customer service to residents and their families, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and courteously.Foster a supportive and welcoming dining environment that promotes resident satisfaction and well-being.Compliance and Safety :
Adhere to food safety regulations and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic dietary environment.Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of dietary supplies and equipment.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting.Knowledge of basic nutrition principles and dietary requirements for various medical conditions.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse team.Benefits :
