The F&I Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial and insurance operations within the dealership. This role ensures every customer is presented with financing and protection options while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The F&I Manager works closely with the sales team to maximize profitability, enhance customer satisfaction, and secure long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Structure financing deals to meet the needs of customers while ensuring dealership profitability.
Present and sell financing, extended warranties, insurance products, and other aftermarket options in a transparent and ethical manner.
Secure approvals through lenders and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions.
Review and ensure accuracy of all sales and financing paperwork to guarantee compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available finance programs, insurance offerings, and dealership policies.
Collaborate with the sales team to achieve department and dealership sales goals.
Protect the dealership by ensuring all transactions are handled ethically and in line with compliance standards.
Monitor and report on department performance, including penetration rates, profit margins, and customer satisfaction scores.
Provide training and guidance to sales staff regarding finance and insurance processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in automotive dealership F&I or finance-related role.
Strong knowledge of finance laws, regulations, and dealership compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Ability to build strong lender relationships and secure competitive financing options.
Proficient in dealership management software (DMS), credit bureau systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
