Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Collections Specialist to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage billing, deposits, collections, and eviction notices for the self-storage facility.
Mail invoices monthly, post payments, and prepare daily bank deposits using QuickBooks Desktop.
Input vendor invoices, prepare checks for payment, and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist project managers with contractor scheduling, follow-ups, and budget tracking.
Maintain and organize files for personal and commercial properties, including construction projects.
Requirements:
Demonstrate strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (Enterprise version required).
2+ years of collections experience in construction, real estate, or property management.
Perform basic Excel tasks and use Microsoft Word and Outlook effectively.
Communicate professionally with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
Maintain weekly status reports and update construction payables consistently.
Qualifications:
Hold a two-year degree in Accounting or a related field.
Work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Exhibit a proactive attitude and meet deadlines consistently.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Present a polished and mature demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
