Job Overview

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to drive real impact in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Optimization.

This position is based on-site in Kansas City, KS and is not eligible for remote work.

Highlights of your role

Support the current engineering team with the following :

Identify and implement continuous improvement activities within production and business processes.

• Develop manufacturing processes, standard work and create and maintain process documentation.
• Support the layout of our new production line.
• Actively deploy lean concepts throughout the organization.
• Assist in analyzing, identifying , and resolving production line problems and lead problem-solving groups.
• Develop and maintain production line layouts and jigs / fixtures.
• Effectively communicate and work with Design Engineers and Project Managers to ensure designs and detailing meet the requirements of the project.
• Communicate equipment, jig, process, and product changes proactively.
• Communicate with vendors to quote and procure components and equipment.
