Summary

Construction / Laborer employees are members of the Gas Distribution department. The work includes constructing, operating, maintaining, and repairing gas facilities. The use of jackhammer, tamping, and digging equipment is essential to this job. This is a Safety Sensitive Position - D.O.T. testing is required. Safe driving record required. Must obtain a Class A Driver's License within one year from date of hire.

Job Responsibilities

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 months construction, manufacturing, mechanical or related work experience.
• Physically able to perform heavy construction work.
• Willing to work outside in all types of weather.
• Successfully pass the Gas Battery preplacement test before hire.
• Successfully complete required training after hire. Position is considered DOT safety sensitive and is subject to random drug testing.
• Physical requirements : Walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Valid U. S. driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• CDL Class A is required within one year of employment.
• Storm duty : As needed.
