Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join their client's dynamic team in Colorado Springs, CO, 80919. The Project Engineer plays a vital role in coordinating technical activities across assigned projects, ensuring seamless communication among internal teams, external partners, and vendors. This position offers hands-on experience in large-scale commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects within a design-build environment.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in coordinating with internal departments such as accounting, purchasing, engineering, construction, fabrication, and legal.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage scope, pricing, submittals, and delivery schedules.
- Assist with onsite project progress, applying design knowledge to resolve installation and operational challenges.
- Handle daily administrative tasks including document control, RFIs, purchase orders, submittals, and procurement tracking.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, labor, materials, and delivery timelines.
- Identify and escalate potential issues, supporting resolution efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and field personnel by participating in kickoff, progress, and coordination meetings.
- Provide clear direction to installers and subcontractors, ensuring subcontractor performance aligns with project expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Mechanical Engineering preferred), or equivalent experience.3-5 years of relevant industry experience.Strong integrity, professionalism, and business ethics.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.Core Competencies

Full-time, non-exempt position.Monday-Friday, typically between 7-3 : 30PM.Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs.Travel
Occasional travel to project sites or regional offices may be required.Compensation
