Position Overview :

We are seeking a full-time Fire Protection Designer to join our team in Richmond, VA. This hybrid role involves designing fire alarm and / or fire protection systems, producing detailed plans and specifications, and ensuring adherence to applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients and engineers, performing on-site evaluations, and preparing reports and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design of fire alarm and / or fire protection systems, including preparation of detailed drawings
• Perform hydraulic or voltage-drop calculations
• Ensure compliance with local fire protection codes and regulations
• Conduct field evaluations and site inspections
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, clients, and project teams
• Develop technical documentation and reports
