Requirements Any certifications required : MD or DO Description of required duties : GENERAL OB / GYN PHYSICIAN Office practice may include : prenatal care and testing postpartum care preventive care services counseling and consultations office procedures preoperative evaluation Hospital responsibilities may include : Triage evaluation obstetric consultations labor management birth attendance procedures and surgery as permitted by medical staff privileges Gynecological consultations and surgical procedures as permitted by medical staff privileges Procedures required on call : obstetrics including triage evaluation point of care limited obstetric ultrasound induction of labor vaginal birth laceration repair OVD hemorrhage management Cesarean birth postpartum sterilization postplacental IUD placement Nexplanon insertion gynecology including first trimester DampE surgical management of ectopic pregnancy torsion other gyn emergencies Supporting staff in hospital : nursing technical and perioperative support CNM / PA weekdays Inhouse anesthesia Level 1 nursery with inhouse pediatric support Schedule : on call approximately 5 times per month mix of weekdays and weekends regular office hours Hours : office 8a-430p call 7a-7a Call : 4-6 times per month in house for obstetrics and gynecology Volume : 650 births per year 24 patients per day in office On Call : LVH-H 700 E Broad Street Hazleton PA 18201 Assignment Length : undetermined length of time
