Job Description

The Advanced Nurse Clinician / Physician Assistant works under physician supervision to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with medical and surgical conditions, providing counseling and advice to patients or guardians. This role does not include obtaining informed consent. The position requires knowledge of psychosocial aspects, clinical assessment, and technology impacts.

• Requires graduation from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant master's program, with evidence of ongoing education.
• Must hold current, unrestricted Tennessee licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse, RN, or Physician’s Assistant, along with national certification in a specialty area.
• Possesses prescriptive authority, skills in intubation, central and arterial line placement, ventilator management, and proficiency with clinical protocols and computer use.
• Preferred 1-3 years of healthcare experience, with ICU RN experience considered.
• Full-time position located at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, GI Group, working weekdays from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.
