The SkillBridge Intern will gain foundational experience in construction project support, assisting with various administrative and operational aspects of project execution. They will support document control, communication with subcontractors and vendors, data entry, and basic scheduling tasks. The intern will learn to organize project files, process invoices, track material deliveries, and contribute to efficient project flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete onboarding tasks, including administrative setup, introductions, and integration into company systems and tools.
- Learn and utilize project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Enroll in and complete the Construction Project Management Certificate program.
- Gain foundational knowledge in project management, including project lifecycles, scope, cost, time, and quality management.
- Learn construction contracts, legal aspects, documentation, and blueprint reading.
- Shadow Project Engineers on active construction sites to observe execution and best practices.
- Assist with submittals, RFIs, and project documentation processes.
- Document project progress, identify potential issues, and support risk mitigation.
- Participate in project coordination meetings to improve communication and problem-solving.
- Apply cost control and resource allocation techniques to support project efficiency.
- Develop and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Support implementation of cost control measures and schedule updates.
- Participate in quality inspections, field verifications, and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Conduct supervised quality checks and prepare detailed quality reports.
- Prepare and present a comprehensive project closeout report.
- Communicate project findings and lessons learned to management.
- Prepare for transition to a full-time Project Engineer role.

Lemoine can support SkillBridge programs of lengths between the minimum and maximum allotted program time windows. Lemoine will build a training program that can facilitate SMs with various timelines.
The expectation will be established and understood that with a shorter SkillBridge time window, the servicemember will be less likely to land a full-time opportunity upon completing a Lemoine SkillBridge.
