Make a Difference for Youth in Your Community
As a Youth Behavioral Health Liaison (YBHL) , you’ll play a vital role in connecting children and families to the right behavioral health supports at the right time. Working collaboratively with schools, courts, law enforcement, and other community partners, you’ll help youth access services that promote stability, wellness, and hope — while reducing the need for hospitalization or out-of-home placement.
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday. This position serves the counties of : Cole and Osage.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct brief screenings and connect youth to behavioral health, developmental, and substance use servicesCollaborate with schools, courts, child welfare, and law enforcement to coordinate wraparound supportDevelop and strengthen local systems of care for youth with behavioral health needsProvide consultation and training to school and community partners on youth behavioral health issuesParticipate in local and statewide initiatives that promote youth wellness and diversion from detention or hospitalizationMaintain accurate, timely documentation and data reporting in accordance with program standardsParticipate in local Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) to support law enforcement in youth-related behavioral health situationsYou’ll Be a Great Fit for This Role if You :

High School / GED requiredAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field preferredWORK EXPERIENCE
Must qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options listed :
Qualified addiction professional;Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S. Department of Education’s database of accredited schools at http : / ope.ed.gov / accreditation ;Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience; orAssociate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the Department of Mental Health.Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required. Driving is an essential function of this community-based position.
