American Traveler is seeking a NICU RN with a current CA license, BLS and NRP certifications, and at least 2 years of recent Level III NICU experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the NICU unit of a specialized children's and women's hospitalNight shift with a 3x12 hours schedule, 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Patient population includes critically ill neonates in a Level III NICUFloating required to PICU and CTICU units as neededUses EPIC for documentation; prior experience preferredEvery other weekend or as needed weekend coverage is requiredDuties include critical care management of NICU patients, including specialized neonatal procedures and therapiesRequired to float between NICU, PICU, and CTICU units based on census and hospital needEPIC training modules (approximately 8 hours) must be completed pre-startUp to 5 days of RTO may be approved, but no RTO is permitted on 11 / 28 or 12 / 21-23First-time travelers are accepted if they have the required NICU experienceLocals are accepted at a local pay rate for those living within 50 milesOnly one professional reference from the last 2 years is requiredCandidates with any disciplinary action (Nursys hits) or prior perm employment at the facility will not be considered\n \n Requirements\n
Active CA RN license in handMinimum of 2 years recent Level III NICU experience requiredBLS and Advanced NRP certifications requiredExperience in PICU and CTICU settings due to float requirementsProficiency with EPIC EMR documentation system preferredMust have skills in phototherapy, gavage / tube feeding, blood product administration, PICC and peripheral line management, anti-seizure meds, caffeine, vasopressors, neonatal abstinence care, phlebotomy, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilatorsNo prior permanent employment at the facility\n Benefits\n
