Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in the Inland Empire, CA to maintain and repair heating and cooling systems for warehouses, distribution centers, and office buildings.
Impact
• Support logistics and distribution operations by maintaining critical HVAC systems in high-bay warehouses
• Minimize downtime for commercial facilities through proactive maintenance and rapid response to service calls
• Improve energy efficiency and reduce utility costs by optimizing system performance
• Ensure compliance with California Title 24 energy codes and manufacturer specifications
• Build client confidence through professional service and technical problem-solving
Responsibilities
• Service commercial HVAC equipment including large RTUs, make-up air units, and split systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures involving compressors, fans, controls, and refrigerant systems
• Test refrigerant charge, airflow, and control sequences to ensure proper operation
• Replace filters, belts, bearings, and other wear items during preventive maintenance visits
• Respond to emergency service calls to restore heating and cooling operations
• Inspect electrical components and test contactors, capacitors, and motor windings
• Complete detailed service reports and provide clients with repair recommendations
• Coordinate with facility managers to schedule maintenance during off-peak hours
• Maintain company vehicle and ensure proper stock of parts and tools
Requirements
Must-Haves
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• EPA Universal refrigerant certification
• Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC mechanical and electrical systems
• Valid California driver's license
• Physical ability to work at heights and in warehouse environments
Nice-to-Haves
• NATE certification in commercial HVAC service
• Experience with large tonnage RTUs and make-up air units
• Familiarity with warehouse HVAC applications
• OSHA 10 certification and scissor lift certification
