American Traveler is seeking an experienced Rad Tech specializing in breast ultrasound for an acute care Breast Cancer Center role, requiring BLS and RDMS-BR (ARDMS) or AZ radiology / mammo certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position based in an acute care Breast Cancer Center ultrasound unitSix scan rooms equipped with Hologic mammography and ultrasound systemsFocus on breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic breast ultrasound, core biopsies, and SAVI Scout proceduresTypical volume includes 16 ultrasound scans and 25 mammography cases per dayUtilizes Cerner EMR and CHC PACS; previous Cerner experience preferredDay shift schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PMNo weekends, holidays, on-call, or floating requiredRadiologist onsite for supportPrimary responsibilities include performing advanced breast imaging and interventional proceduresTeal scrubs required while on shiftOne week orientation provided at start of assignmentCandidates may not have held a full-time, part-time, or PRN position with any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI or Dignity) in the past yearApplicants must permanently reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; location verified via driver's licenseIV skills are beneficial but not mandatory for this roleNo first-time travelers accepted\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year recent breast imaging experience, including mammography and breast ultrasoundBLS certification requiredRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast (RDMS-BR) via ARDMS, or AZ mammography / radiology license (with ARRT Breast certification if mammography licensed)Experience performing screening and diagnostic breast ultrasound, core biopsies, and SAVI Scout procedures requiredActive state or compact license required if applicableTwo professional references : one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 yearsCopy of driver’s license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
